Costa Rica một thiên đường xanh một trong số 20 quốc gia trên thế giới hiện đang còn tồn tại môi trường sinh thái thiên nhiên nầy. Với chiều rộng không quá 200 dặm Anh, Costa Rica - Bờ Biển Phì Nhiêu nầy đã tạo được nhiều ấn tượng cho hầu hết những ai yêu mến thiên nhiên.
Costa Rica, meaning ‘Rich Coast’ is a natural paradise unlike anywhere else on earth. A small country that measure no longer or wider than 200 miles around, Costa Rica is one of the 20 most biologically diverse environments in the world. This biodiversity represents 15 different ecosystems including both tropical and subtropical microclimates. The geography changes are dramatic, featuring souring mountains with cloud forests, over 60 volcanoes, 800 miles of sandy coastline beaches and 14 major river systems with world-class whitewater rapids and waterfalls. The diversity of wildlife and plant life is no exception, with more than 500,000 animal species, including: 160 species of amphibians and 220 species of reptiles, 850 species of birds, 1,000 species of butterflies, 1,200 varieties of orchids, 9,000 species of plants and 34,000 species of insects – just to name a few and new species are discovered every day. With this incredible display of nature, it isn’t surprising that Costa Rica is one of the first destinations that come to mind when you think of ecotourism. The country is famous for its progressive approach to conservation and is the prime eco-tourism destination in Central America. To protect its land and wildlife, Costa Rica has declared over 25% of the country protected by means of national parks, wildlife refuges and biological reserves. These reserves provide safe havens and habitats for many of the world’s endangered or threatened animal species. In fact Costa Rica protects 27 mammals, 36 amphibians, 16 reptiles and 87 species of birds. Through well-organized preservation and an inviting culture, Costa Rica has created a fantastic destination for adventurers. There are wonderful opportunities to see wildlife up close – such as the scarlet Macaw, Squirrel Monkey, Jaguar and Leatherback Sea Turtles at any number of the parks and animal sanctuaries. There are activities to suit all types of travellers and styles of adventure. Zip line through the cloud forests or canopy your way across mile high treetops and spy on friendly Squirrel Monkeys. There’s surfing, snorkeling, and soaking in hot springs and some of the best white water rafting around.
